Biography

Dr Ch.oo Su Pin is a medical oncologist who subspecializes in gastrointestinal cancers including colorectal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, stomach, esophageal, anal and neuroendocrine cancers.

Dr. Choo was the Chief of Gastrointestinal Oncology department and Deputy Head of the Medical Oncology division at National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) prior to private practice. She also served as co-Director of the Comprehensive Liver Cancer Clinic and remains a visiting consultant at NCCS and an adjunct Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. She is the current President of the Singapore Society of Oncology and a founding member of the SSO-Cancer Immunotherapy Consortium.

Dr. Choo is involved in developing guidelines for the treatment of pancreatico-hepatobiliary cancers locally and internationally. She is a member of the Pan-Asia adapted European Society of Medical Oncology Guidelines on Hepatocellular Carcinoma Committee and the Asia-Pacific Liver Cancer Expert Meeting Consensus Panel. She has vast experience in running clinical trials in gastrointestinal oncology and dealing with complex gastrointestinal cancers and novel therapeutics. She sits on advisory boards of pharmaceutical companies and provides consult on drug development in gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr. Choo has published in numerous journals including the Lancet, Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Cancer Discovery, Annals of Oncology and Journal of Clinical Oncology.
